Golf Carts That You Can Drive On The Street
An LSV and a golf cart are two different types of vehicles. While an LSV can be used as a golf cart, it is not technically a golf cart. LSVs are electric vehicles that have a top speed of greater than 20 MPH but less than 25 MPH, while golf carts only travel up to 20 MPH.
Since LSVs are classified as motor vehicles by federal law, they have to have a unique VIN number for insurance and registration purposes. Local and state safety requirements also apply to LSVs.
